Post-grad nostalgia happens to everybody in some form or another. Be it high school or college, some small part of you misses the routine and the thrill of learning and mastering something new. You don’t miss the long nights studying, the outrageous tuition or living in a dorm and you don’t plan on returning anytime soon, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still get better at what you currently do or perhaps want to do. Enter FutureLearn.
FutureLearn is a website that features free online “courses” in everything from business and design to sports and language. Just sign up and pick your course. Easy as pie.You can take classes in design, Spanish, Advertising and just about anything you can put your mind to.
Courses are divided up the same way a college class might: 2-3 hour classes for 4-6 weeks. They are divided into videos, text, and active user activity (mainly writing in the comments).
If you complete a course you can pay for a certificate of completion for your resume, or you can keep going and finish specific courses within “programs” and then get college credit/certificates for that whole section of classes starting at about $75. But keep in mind, to do the classes cost nothing so the $75 is how they make money to keep the site up.
